Another major design spec is that the unit features a user replaceable power supply in the form of 2 AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries. These can be replaced by the diver in the field rather than the traditional and time consuming method of returning dive computers to the distributor for battery replacements.

Battery life is 12 months/50 dives or 10 dives when constantly backlit

The M1 decompression calculations depend on an algorithm that is an 11-tissue compartment model with nominal half time periods of 2.5 - 480 minutes. M values (low bubble) are derived from Rogers and Powell studies conducted using Doppler methods (modified Haldanean)
